Yannick Speetjens (1996) holds a Master’s degree in Human Movement Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He is currently a PhD candidate in Physiology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, supervised by Dr. Melissa Hooijmans and Dr. Richie Goulding. In cooperation with Amsterdam UMC, he uses quantitative MRI and 31‑phosphorus MRS measurements of skeletal muscle to unravel the mechanisms underlying reduced exercise capacity and post‑exertional malaise in patients with ME/CFS.
