DIMASK: Development of an innovative MRI technology to assess micro-trauma in skeletal muscles

The goal of the project is to develop a novel MRI technique to image micro-trauma in hamstring muscles of elite athletes, and to conduct a prospective study which will enhance routine clinical implementation of this imaging technique following muscle injury. The project involves collaborations with Philips Healthcare, NOC*NSF, MR Coils BV, and The Amsterdam Collaboration on Health & Safety in Sports (ACHSS).
